‘We need to rethink conventional wisdom about pay’

The FT reports on having worker representation on the board of UK companies. Advocates state the move would help to curb top executive pay, which now stands at 145 times the mean wage of the average FTSE 100 worker. Others are sceptical of the move and argue that executive pay is only a small portion of company profits and ensures the best talent for the business.
